Dear supporters of the Bondhu project,
I got back to Germany last night.
It was important for me to be there again to hire a new home manager and a new carer.
The search for the new home manager and carer went very well. Out of more than 200 applications, we chose Sanjib as home manager, and we also found a great carer.

An agreement with the government home was also in sight, under which we could take 5 to 8 girls from the government home into our care, so that they can train in freedom with us. Whether the agreement will come about is still open. But we were able to clear up a few points. We are stepping up our commitment to these girls: on the one hand by trying to improve the quality of life in the government home, and on the other by continuing to help more girls to their freedom.

One of the highlights of my stay was certainly the visit of several staff members from the German embassy in Dhaka. We spent a wonderful day together and organised an intercultural scavenger hunt with children's songs, a rickshaw riding lesson, a quiz and henna painting. For the children, who often face discrimination in society, it was an unforgettable experience to be treated as complete equals, and to sing, play, talk and dance together. And I'm sure the day was unforgettable for our visitors too.

Thank you so much for your support!
Best wishes,
Michael
